FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The victim in an early morning motorcycle crash has died. The coroners office has ruled that 23-year old Justin Seyfert died from blunt force trauma. The accident happened around 3 am this morning on Coldwater Road. Officials say he was not wearing a helmet. It's the tenth fatal crash of the year in Allen County.

The investigation so far has revealed Seyfert was riding a motorcycle southbound on Coldwater at a high rate of speed, and ended up going off of the west side of the roadway. He was thrown from the motorcycle and landed several yards from the vehicle. There were no other vehicles or objects struck in the crash, and no others involved. Police say it's too early to determine if alcohol played a role, and at this time it does not appear that Seyfert was wearing a helmet.
 
The incident remains under investigation.
