FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A man who was shot late Monday night has been identified and declared a homicide

According to police, 21 year old Said-Saleh Nassir of Fort Wayne was shot on the 600 block of McKinnie Avenue near Monroe Street. The man was transported to Lutheran Hospital and later died around 3:15 a.m.

Witnesses apparently saw two people fighting and later, gunshots were fired. The Allen County Coroner's Office determined the death was a homicide, marking the 16th for Fort Wayne and Allen County in 2014.

The incident remains under investigation.
