UPDATE: Two Killed in Gary When Train Strikes Car

GARY, Ind. (AP) _ Authorities say a woman from Gary and a man from Chicago were killed when the car they were in was struck by a train in Gary.
 
The Lake County coroner's office has identified the victims as 29-year-old Renee Mckenzie and 32-year-old William McCurry. Both died of blunt force trauma.
 
The Post-Tribune reports the collision occurred before 6 a.m. Friday, causing traffic backup for hours. Gary police have not released any information about the collision.
 
Three teenagers were killed at the same crossing four years ago.
