The Indiana State Police Department assisted the DeKalb County Sheriff Department with the two vehicle crash that closed State Road 1 between County Roads 68 and 72.
25-year-old Clayton Mortazavi was the driver of a GMC Sierra which collided with a Ford Freestyle driven by 31-year-old Michael Loor.
The passenger in Loor's car, Cheryl Ioor, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are still investigating.
