UPDATED: Late Night Deadly Shooting In Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Allen County Coroner's Office says the man that died in a fatal shooting in southeast Fort Wayne Thursday night actually died from a stab wound to the neck.

The victim has also been identified as 30 year old Stacy Dewayne Evans, who currently resides in Michigan but formerly lived in Fort Wayne.

He died at the hospital. A preliminary autopsy report was performed Friday afternoon.

No arrests have been made yet.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne Police are investigating a deadly shooting in the 1300 block of Greene Street on the cities southeast side. 


At 10:30 p.m. Thursday night, police arrived to find two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. One male victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition, but later died. A female victim was also transported to the hospital in good condition. 

Witnesses say some sort of altercation happened just before the shooting, and it possibly involved several people. Police say they're interviewing other possible witnesses, but as of now there is no suspect information and no arrests have been made. If you know anything, you're asked to call the Fort Wayne Police.
