UPDATE: The Adams County Sheriff's Department has identified the fatality in the second vehicle as 54 year old Gary Herriford of Berne. Cyphia Herriford and a juvenile were taken to the hospital. 

The driver of the first vehicle, 59 year old Lynn Kohne of Decatur, has been charged with Operating While Intoxicated Causing Death and is now in Adams County Jail.

ADAMS COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): On Saturday around 3 p.m., officials received a call of a two vehicle crash located in the area of US 27 S and CR 300 S in Adams County. 

Police say one vehicle was traveling south on US 27 when it lost control, crossing into the path of another vehicle. The driver who lost control of their vehicle was treated and released by medics at the scene with no apparent injuries. 

In the other vehicle, one person was pronounced dead at the scene, a second victim was transported to a Fort Wayne hospital, and a third victim was transported to Adams Memorial Hospital.

This incident is still under investigation at this time.
