Vera Bradley to Expand…Again

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21 ALIVE): Bag-making giant Vera Bradley is considering a roughly $2M office expansion. The Journal Gazette reports that, according to paperwork filed with the Department of Planning Services, Vera is thinking about adding a 19,000 sq. ft. office addition, including 100 new parking spaces. A Vera spokeswoman says it’s not known at this time if the expansion would create any new jobs. If county planners approve the plan, work would begin by July and be finished by year’s end.

Vera Bradley employs more than 2,400 people world-wide, including more than 800 here in Indiana.
