Veterans Affairs Set To Host Events In 11 Indiana Cities

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ The Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs will host community outreach events in 11 Indiana communities this year.

Participants will be able to connect with needed services, introduce themselves to prospective employers and meet with Indiana Women's Veteran Coordinator Laura McKee.

Employment and Education Director Deanna Pugh says the events are designed to provide all of the information and assistance veterans, duty members and their dependents require.

Staff will offer a wide range of services such as help with VA benefits, claims processing, remission of fees and information on how to enroll or return to college.

The first event is May 7 in Indianapolis at the Lawrence National Guard Armory on East 59th St. The second will be on June 25 at the Ivy Tech Community College in Gary.
