Victim Identified in Fatal Stabbing at Local Bar

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – The Allen County Coroner released the name of the man who died after a fight at the Dugout Bar.

According to authorities, Reynaldo Morales, 41, of Fort Wayne, died of stab wounds.

Police were dispatched to the Dugout Bar, 3401 Fairfield Ave, on a stabbing call around 1:22 a.m. Sunday, after daylight saving time.

Officers discovered Morales on the sidewalk near the rear door of the bar, suffering from severe injuries. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

Witnesses say there was a fight inside the bar between several people, including Morales. Management decided to close the bar for the night after the brawl, requesting everyone to leave. Witnesses stated the fight continued just outside of the bar and an adult male fled the scene.

Morales is the 25th homicide victim in Fort Wayne and Allen County this year.

The incident remains under investigation.
