Voters Decide on EACS Plans to Restructure New Haven Facilites

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The East Allen County School Board has approved plans to restructure their New Haven facilities

According to our partners in News at 21Alive, the heating and plumbing systems are outdated at their New Haven buildings.

A preliminary plan calls for remodeling New Haven High School, and adding a middle school onto the building. Also, the old New Haven Middle School and Park Hill Learning Center would be demolished and a new grade school would be built.

Superintendent Dr. Ken Folks told 21Alive, voters will decide on the proposed changes.

“Is there a Plan B in mind? There isn't, not really a Plan B, but we do have opportunities to do building projects with G.O. bonds, general obligation bonds.”
