WARSAW, Ind. (WOWO): A Warsaw man has been arrested for battery to a juvenile less than 14 years of age and for failing to appear in court.

On Sept. 4, 2015, police met with school officials at Gateway School. An employee said that her boyfriend, 33-year-old Jack Daniels, was babysitting for a child at their home on Sept. 2. Daniels allegedly became upset and threw a chunk of ice at the juvenile, striking him just above the left eye, causing a laceration, swelling and bruising to the eye socket.

The woman also told police that, on Sept. 3, Daniels hit the child in the upper torso and head. Daniels was arrested Monday and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on a $6,300 bond.
