Warsaw Man Killed in Huntington County Motorcycle Crash

HUNTINGTON COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) — A 55-year-old Warsaw man was killed Saturday afternoon after crashing his motorcycle on State Road 5 in Huntington County.

The Huntington County Coroner’s Office says Harold L. Brandenburg Jr. was riding a 2012 Harley-Davidson northbound on Goshen Road, about a quarter-mile north of County Road 600 North, around 4:20 p.m. when he failed to make a curve and hit a guardrail.

Investigators say Brandenburg was thrown from the motorcycle and landed on an embankment along the east side of the roadway. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Brandenburg was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner ruled his death accidental, caused by multiple blunt force injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Huntington County Sheriff’s Office and the Huntington County Coroner’s Office.

Several agencies assisted at the scene, including the Huntington City Police Department, Bippus Fire Department, Parkview Huntington Hospital EMS, Huntington Central Dispatch and Pearson’s Wrecker Service.
