WARSAW, Ind. (WOWO): A Warsaw Police officer was sent to the hospital Monday night after a traffic crash.
Indiana State Police are investigating the accident that happened at about 9 PM Monday at East Center Street and Eastlake Drive in Warsaw. Another car collided with the side of the police car in the intersection.
The driver of the other car, 57 year old Patricia Hammons of North Manchester, allegedly ran through a red light and hit the car being driven by Sargeant Clay Layne.
The 46 year old officer was taken to Lutheran Hosptial in Fort Wayne, but later released. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, according to state police.
