Waterfowl Hunters Rescued After Boat Capsizes

PIKE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Three men were rescued after their boat capsized in the White River. It happened around 1:00 P.M. Friday when Conservation Officers were called to the river after the men's boat overturned. 60-year-old Mike Brown, of Washington, was operating the boat when the bow dipped while the boat was under power, causing the boat to take on water. Brown, and two passengers, 46-year-old Gregory Pearce and 31-year-old Donnie Wise, both of North Carolina, grabbed decoy bags to keep them afloat. Pearce stayed in the boat while the other two men swam to the shore. All three were rescued and taken to a Vincennes hospital, where they were treated for mild hypothermia and released from the hospital.
