Woman Blamed for Brother’s Arrest, Shots Fired

FORT WAYNE Ind. (WOWO): A man fired a gun at a Fort Wayne woman's front door after accusing her of his brother's arrest.

23-year-old Derrick Thomas Jr. went to the woman's house on the 1400 block of High Street, and said his brother was arrested because she made the call to police. According to the Journal Gazette, the woman opened the front door and Thomas was standing with a rife in his hands and wearing a gas mask.

The woman attempted to close the door and that's when shots were fired. The gunshots went through the front door and police say they recovered bullet fragments from her living room wall.

Thomas is charged with criminal recklessness. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
