Woman Dies After Car Overturns into Terre Haute Lake

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP): Authorities say the body of a woman has been pulled from a car that crashed into a lake in Terre Haute.

Vigo County Coroner Doctor Susan Amos says the woman was heading to work Thursday morning when she lost control of her car. The Tribune-Star reports the vehicle bounced off two guardrails and overturned into the lake.

Amos says initial reports said two children also were in the car, but both have been found safe. At least of the children had just been dropped off at a daycare moments before the crash about 7:20 a.m.
