Woman Sentenced in Card Theft

It’s jail time for a woman who was involved in credit card theft. Kristi Cooper, 30, was sentenced to four years in prison on a felony count of corrupt business influence.  Under the terms of a plea deal with prosecutors, that sentence was cut in half.  The Journal Gazette says Cooper and two accomplices were caught on on surveillance video at the Meijer on Illinois Road, using the stolen credit cards. Cooper told police it was the others who had broken into a car to steal the credit cards.
