2 Found Dead after Fire in Northern Indiana Town

MILFORD, Ind. (AP) – Authorities in northern Indiana say two people have been found dead after a fire that broke out in an auto repair business.

Fire officials say no one was working in the shop when the fire broke out Thursday morning, but someone did live in an apartment above the business in the Kosciusko County town of Milford.

The county coroner says two bodies were recovered but didn't release any information about their identities or where they were found.

Five fire departments sent crews to the scene in the 1,500-person town about 30 miles southeast of South Bend. Officials say firefighters weren't able to go inside the building for a few hours because of the fire's heat and the presence of several cars and oil products inside.
