FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Hundreds of jobs are leaving Fort Wayne. Triple Crown Services is restructuring and with it eliminating about 200 positions locally. The company operates inter modal rail cars that convert to semi-trailers.
Triple Crown Services President Jim Newton told WOWO News, they are shifting their focus to automotive parts distribution, specifically from Detroit to Kansas City.
Other parts of Triple Crown's business will be absorbed by its parent company, Norfolk Southern's inter modal network.
Newton with says they operations will be phased out by November. He adds a says a severance package is in place, and the workers are highly sought after.
