FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): More than 50 pets found their forever homes on Saturday.
The Allen County SPCA participated in the nation wide “Clear the Shelters” event on Saturday, July 23. Allen County SPCA director Jessica Henry said all the cats would be free during the event. The cats would also be spayed, neutered and microchipped.
“It’s our hope to find homes for as many of our adoptable animals as possible, and if we’re really lucky, maybe all of them,” Henry said.
It total, 51 pets were adopted during the event.
