FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): With 65,000 I&M customers total without power, and around 5,900 in the Fort Wayne area as of 6:00 Friday morning, the power company says they're preparing to send out more than 600 employees and contractors to restore power. They've also requested an extra 600 resources to help in both restoration and assessment of damage to figure out exactly where crews need to go. Most of the crews will be sent to Michigan and South Bend, where the damage is the worst. They also note that because the damage hasn't been completely assessed, they don't yet have estimated times for restoring power but will send updates as they become available.
