$9 Million Will Go to Indiana Schools from Secured School Safety Program

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Governor Mike Pence announced today more than $9 million in grant funding to local schools and school corporations. The money is coming from the Secured School Safety Grant Program. Governor Pence says that the grants will help secure schools so they can focus on education. Schools with an average daily membership of at least 1,000 students applied for grants up to $50,000 a year. In Allen County, East Allen County Schools, Fort Wayne Community Schools, MSD Southwest Allen County Schools, and Northwest Allen County Schools each received $50,000.
