INDIANAPOLIS–Josef Newgarden wins a challenging Indy500, and he did so as the first driver in 22 years to win with back-to-back victories. The race was delayed due to rain, and the track needed time to dry. Track conditions may have been a challenge for drivers with crashes, stalls, and spinouts seemed to plague drivers, especially early in the race.
