Defiance could get nearly $15M grant to develop infrastructure

DEFIANCE COUNTY, Ohio (WOWO) – A sizable state grant could be on the way for Defiance County.

The county has been awarded nearly $15 million to develop infrastructure just west of Defiance on a 1,000-acre site, but there’s a catch – the company that local officials are courting isn’t yet in agreement.

The Crescent-News reports it’s the first award announced in the new $750 million statewide fund. A decision is expected by the company in about a month.
