Snowstorm Prevents Burglary

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WOWO) — A pair of burglars thought they might get away with it, but Mother Nature ended up giving police an assist in Evansville.

A man called the cops saying he noticed suspicious cars stuck in the snow outside his mother’s home.

As he approached the house Matthew Ingle ran off towards a nearby motel.

But, Madlyn Brewer stayed with her stuck Jeep and the man had her open the Jeep he saw stolen items from the house.

The cops were called and arrested Brewer.

Police then followed Ingle’s footprints in the snow to the motel.

They found him in a room and he too was arrested.
