An accident that closed US 27 just north of Berne near county road 400 south for at least an hour this morning has been cleared, but five people are left injured. Cccording to Indiana State Police, Jacqueline Curtis of Bryant, Indiana, lost control of her vehicle as a result of her speed at the time, on the snow covered roadway and collided with another vehicle driven by Angela Price of Decatur. All five passengers of the two vehicles were taken to the hospital.
