Expanded Downtown Dining District

new year's eve, salmon, fish, seafood, veggies, salad, nature, meal, dish, plate, food, cuisine

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) — Fort Wayne city officials unveiled plans Tuesday to expand the downtown dining district as part of the Municipal Riverfront Development Project.

The City Council voted 7-2 to move the proposal forward, with two councilmen opposed.

The expansion would stretch west to West Main Street and east across the Maumee River to include Conjure Coffee.

Officials say the change will lower costs and relax restrictions for businesses outside the current district.
