State Backs Out Of SUN Bucks Program

(Indiana)
Indiana Senate Democrats are calling out the Braun administration after the state once again opted out of the federal SUN Bucks program.
The initiative, which provided grocery benefits to over 600,000 Hoosier children in 2024, is designed to help families feed students during the summer months when school meals aren’t available.
With the application deadline for the 2026 program having come and gone, Democrats are making a final push for the Governor to reverse course and secure the federal funding.
