Indiana BMV Introduces New Pollinator Specialty License

Hoosiers across the state helped make a new pollinator specialty license plate a reality.
The plate will be available at Indiana BMVs in 2026.
The idea came from Auburn native Lisa Conrad, who spent five years designing the plate and pushing for approval.
Money raised from sales will support pollinator conservation through Pollinator Partnership.
Conrad worked on conservation projects for decades, from creating native plant gardens to teaching scouts and gardeners about pollinators.
She wanted a way to bring people together statewide and raise both money and awareness.
The effort nearly missed its deadline, but a last-minute push on social media and at local businesses brought in 1,200 signatures – more than double what was required.
