Toledo Man Charged in Weekend Homicide

TOLEDO, Ohio (WOWO): A Toledo man is facing charges in a weekend homicide investigation.

According to WTVG-TV, police say 53-year-old Deji Lee was arrested after officers found 53-year-old John Smoot suffering from a gunshot wound Saturday morning on Evesham Avenue.

Smoot was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
