A few minutes later, police were notified of a crash near that same area. According to our partners in news at 21 Alive, that’s when it became clear that the SUV traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of I-69 collided with a semi head-on.

The driver of the SUV, 23-year-old Kaleb Jay Cox Fort Wayne, was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the semi, a 28-year-old from Michigan, was taken to a nearby hospital in fair condition.

Meanwhile, the crash is still under investigation by Allen County police.
