FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fire caused heavy damage to home on Fort Wayne's north side.

Around 7:15 Tuesday night crews were called to Rosewood Circle, just off Coldwater Road.

When they arrived they found heavy smoke. It took about 26 minutes to bring it under control.

Investigators say the fire started kitchen on the main level. No one was home at the time, but a family dog died.

The investigation continues, authorities say it was accidental.
