FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A child was hit by a car while riding a bicycle in Fort Wayne.

According to our partners in news at 21Alive, the crash happened near the intersection of Sherman Boulevard and Louisedale Drive around 1:15 Saturday afternoon.

The driver of the car took off from the scene, police have no description of the vehicle.

The child is reported to be in fair condition.
