FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A domestic battery call almost turned into a lengthy police standoff.  

Police were called to the Villages of Hanna Townhouses on Greene Street Sunday night on the cities southeast side just after 10 p.m.  

At first police thought the suspect barricaded himself inside the apartment.  

The Emergency Service Team arrived a short time later, but police later found the man snuck out of the apartment while they were preparing to enter the building. The man was found and taken into custody.
