Lawmakers Near Deadline for Tax, Budget Plan

INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): More details could emerge soon on whether the Republicans who control the Indiana Legislature can agree with GOP Gov. Mike Pence on the size of a possible cut in the state’s individual income tax rate. Pence has been pushing for a 10 percent cut, while legislative leaders have hesitated to go along as they look to increase state spending on schools and road projects.
