Abducted Southern Indiana Boy Found Near Tijuana

AUSTIN, Ind. (AP) _ Indiana State Police say an abducted 3-year-old southern Indiana boy has been found near Tijuana, Mexico.

Sgt. Jerry Goodin says Aedan Daehnke of Austin was located Wednesday by the FBI and U.S. marshals.

Goodin says the boy was abducted by his mother, Amie Sandlin, on Aug. 11. A Scott County warrant charging her with custodial interference and escape was issued four days later after she failed to return Aedan to his father.

Goodin said several tips led to the boy and his mother being located about 30 miles south of Tijuana, or about 50 miles south of San Diego.  He says the boy's in protective custody awaiting the arrival of his father, and Amie Sandlin faces extradition from San Diego to Scott County.
