Man in critical condition after shooting

(WOWO News)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne Police are investigating a Memorial Day shooting that left a man in critical condition.

Police responded to the intersection of East Pontiac and Abbott Streets just after 4:30 p.m. This was after reports of a man lying in the alley south of East Pontiac Street.

When police arrived, they say the victim had been shot, but he refused to cooperate and provide any further information on that shooting. The man was taken to the hospital in serious condition, but has since been downgraded to critical condition.

Police are talking with neighbors for more information. However, there is no further information on the shooting, including a description of an alleged gunman.

The shooting is also under investigation by the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
