FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Temperatures in Allen County might be closer to what it’s like in Tennessee in a couple of decades if a Purdue climate study is to be believed.

A report by the Purdue Climate Change Research Center, set to come out tomorrow, says that climate change will make Indiana substantially warmer unless changes are made.

The News-Sentinel reports that the study shows Fort Wayne will see an 8% increase in rainfall, leading to more flooding, and cold temperatures will be less extreme while the area will see more extreme heat. And while the growing season will expand by 33 days, it’ll also mean an extension of ragweed season and more pollen.
