Allen County Coroner’s Office Id’s two people killed in crash

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Two people died in a hit and run crash on Sunday.

The Allen County Coroner’s Office said Rebecca Graber, 18, of Grabill died from blunt force trauma due to a motor vehicle crash.

Michelle Graber, 16, of Fort Wayne also died from blunt force trauma due to a motor vehicle crash. They were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Crews were called to S.R. 37 and Notestine Road in New Haven at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday on reports of a crash. Police say a black Dodge truck and buggy were involved in the crash.

The truck was found at the scene, but the driver ran away. Police are looking for the suspect.

Rebecca and Michelle are the 32nd and 33rd traffic fatality in Allen County this year.

Two other people were injured in the crash. One male victim was hospitalized in critical condition. Another male was hospitalized in serious condition.

The crash is still under investigation.
