FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – A celebration of life was held to honor the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk on Saturday.

The Allen County Republican Party held the celebration at noon with pastor Paul Mowery presiding over the service, according to 21 Alive News. 

The service follows the death of Kirk who was shot and killed at a Turning Point USA tour event at Utah Valley University on September 10. 

Kirk’s funeral will be held on Sunday in the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
