ANGOLA, Ind. (WOWO): The Angola Police Department got a little love from the city recently.

The Angola Police Department posted a picture on its Facebook page on Tuesday. The picture is of a thin blue line in front of the station with the phrase “We support you.”

The department thanked the Angola Street Department and city of Angola in the post.

“Every time we leave the department we get to see this,” the department said on Facebook. “In a world filled with so much hate and violence, it’s an honor to serve a community where there is still respect and appreciation between both community and law enforcement.”

The department also thanked the community for numerous letters, notes, snacks and meals. A blue stripe is often used to show support to law enforcement.

The Facebook post has been shared 173 times as of 3 p.m. Wednesday and liked more than 450 times.
