ANGOLA, Ind. (WOWO): An Angola sex offender turned himself in to the Steuben County Jail on July 4.

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office says Steven J. Hawn, 31, turned himself in at about 11:30 Monday.

He had a warrant for his arrest on a charge of failure to register as a sex or violent offender, a level 6 felony. He was booked in jail on a $10,000 bond.

Hawn was found guilty of child molesting in 2007.
