Appeals Court Upholds Man’s Murder Conviction

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): The Indiana Court of Appeal has upheld a southwestern Indiana man’s conviction in the fatal stabbing of his 15-year-old stepdaughter. The court’s ruling found that Ryan Lee Shelby’s conviction that his 55-year sentence in the November 2009 killing of Alexis Oesterle at their Rockport home “is not inappropriate” for the crime.
