Auburn Vehicle Theft Connected to Gas Station Drive-Off

STROH, Ind. (WOWO): A man who drove-off from a LaGrange County gas station without paying for gas may have ties to a vehicle that was stolen last Sunday.

Around 6:30 p.m. Monday, a man pulled into a Ducks C-Store, located on the 3900 block of S 1175 E in Stroh. The man pumped over $36 in gas into his SUV and left the station.

Police discovered the plate on the SUV matched the plate of the SUV that was stolen out of Auburn on Sunday, May 31st. The vehicle was also stolen at one point from a different gas station.

According to police, the vehicle is described as a Green 2013 Ford SUV with Michigan registration DGA9439. The driver was a white male wearing a baseball hat, black cut off shirt, blue jeans, and white shoes. The driver also had tattoos on his left forearm and bicep along with a tattoo on his right bicep.
