Avilla Man Injured in Snowmobile Crash

An Avilla man was injured yesterday after the snowmobile he was working on took off unexpectedly and ran into a tree.  The Journal Gazette says Christopher Hackman was working on the snow machine and as he started it, the throttle stuck open, causing it to accelerate.  When the snowmobile hit the tree, Hackman was thrown from it.  He suffered a leg injury and was taken to Parkview Hospital for treatment.
