ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): This afternoon, Governor Mike Pence appointed Bernie Beier as director of the Allen County Office of Homeland Security. He will serve on the Indiana Emergency Response Commission. 

The IERC consists of 13 members appointed by the governor. They represent local and state government, industry and the public. Beier will represent local government on the commission.
