BMV Extends Hours for Election ID’s

INDIANAPOLIS: (WOWO):  The BMV is extending its hours to help voters needing ID cards or drivers licenses for elections. Branches around the state will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday May 5 and 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday May 6.

Officials say driver's tests won't be administered to streamline service.

The Indiana BMV provides free, state-issued ID cards for voting purposes to any unlicensed Hoosier, as long as he or she can provide proper documentation and will be old enough to vote in the general election.
