Car Crashes into Family’s Home in Kokomo

KOKOMO, Ind. (AP) – A homeowner says his 12-year-old son was thrown across his bedroom when an out-of-control car slammed into the family's house in Kokomo.

The crash happened Tuesday when police say the driver lost control of a speeding car on a subdivision street. The car hit a curb, went airborne and hit a tree before flipping into the house on the city's south side.

The Kokomo Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/1EGuIVL ) at least two juvenile passengers were taken to a hospital with injuries. Police didn't immediately release information about the driver or others in the car.

Erik Wade says his son didn't suffer any serious injuries from the car's front end punching through his bedroom wall. Wade says his son was on his bed watching television at the time.
