AUBURN, Ind. (WOWO): A car and a semi were both totaled in a crash on Interstate 69 last night that, somehow, saw no serious injuries.

According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department, police received several 911 calls about a white car driving recklessly all over the road as it headed north on I-69. As the car approached the 325-mile marker, near the DeKalb County Airport, the driver, 52-year-old Josie Richardson of Auburn, apparently fell asleep and drifted into the path of a semi, driven by 24-year-old Mohamed Mahamuud, in another lane.

The two vehicles collided, causing the car to spin out of control and come to a rest on the side of the road, while the semi went off the east side of the road, through a guardrail, and coming to rest in a wooded area.

The driver of the semi suffered a small cut to his wrist. The driver of the car wasn’t injured.
