SANDUSKY, Ohio. (WOWO) — Officials at Cedar Point say nobody was injured after a cable on the Power Tower Ride came loose on Sunday evening.

WOIO Television reports that the ride is closed as park and safety officials investigate the cause of the failure.

Park officials say that the safety features of the ride functioned exactly as they were designed to, and that the ride will be repaired and completely inspected before it returns to service.
